Course Description:
Overview of the basic concepts of multimedia and how to plan and produce projects
which merge text, graphics, animation, video, and sound. Hands-on projects using
popular multimedia authoring software.

Course Objectives/Outcomes:

1. List, define, and describe the terminology and concepts related to multimedia design and
2. development.
3. Understand the multimedia production process including how to create a flowchart,
4. storyboard, and popular publishing options.
5. Import graphics, animation, audio, and video files into a multimedia project.
6. Use the tools and features of a popular multimedia authoring program to produce CD,
7. DVD, and Web-based multimedia projects.
8. Add basic interactivity to multimedia projects using a popular multimedia scripting
9. language.
10. Produce a real world multimedia project for a client.
